About Our Organization
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
A fundamental challenge faced by any society is to create political, economic and social system that promote peace, human welfare, and the sustainability of the environment on which life depends.
We are a group of people who believe that the best way to meet such challenges is to encourage initiatives by those living and working closet to where problems are located. We have been working with this belief for last seven years, but now we have decided to ensure the participation of people from diverse communities and at all levels of society. We understand that such activities help to build common understanding, enhance excellence, enable people to improve their lives and reinforce their commitment to society.
For the legal process of registration we request your participation with us in this noble cause. For your further information the details of the areas, which we have been working in, are as follows;
HEALTH SECTOR
We develop health projects in close consultation with communities so that they are relevant to their specific needs.
Communities identify their own health needs and we work with them to develop projects that will meet these needs. We believe that the community is resourceful, and so we put their interests and opinions first – working in partnership at all levels, every step of the way.
We enable communities to take control of their own health development and to help them demand the assistance and services to which they are entitled.
MASL Foundation is bringing good quality and affordable health care closer to those who need it most - improving access to health treatment and preventing poor health through community education.
Working closely with communities and governments, we are trying to ensure that our health projects are relevant and sustainable. Some of our projects in health sector are:
• Development of free Dispensary
• Mobile medical units
• Emergency relief cell
• Diabetic Centers
• Development of burn unit in Rawalpindi
• Development of a modern operation theater in RGH
• Free operation facilities
• Midwives/ LHV/ TBA training and refresher courses
• Nutrition program
EDUCATIONAL REFORM SECTOR
In the modern world, economic growth and the spread of democracy have raised the value of education and increased the importance of ensuring that all children and adults have access to high quality and effective education. Modern education reforms are increasingly driven by a growing understanding of what works in education and how to go about successfully improving teaching and learning in schools. At MASL Foundation we have identified some sectors where we can equip the youth of our country with some skills, which can help them to generate good and respectable earnings for themselves. We did following activities for the education reform:
• Vocational Training Programs
• Computer literacy program
• Scholarships for poor students
POVERTY ALLEVIATION SECTOR
MASL Foundation is taking on the problem of poverty by improving access to basic services, education and credit, and developing new workforce skills for the poor to use in uplifting their lives. It continues to forge partnerships with people’s organizations and other NGOs in realizing organizational capability at the grassroots. It supports policies in aid of poverty alleviation and adopts sustainable use of natural resources in all its programs such as:
• Small business setup
• Orphan welfare program
• Awareness walks and seminars
• Riba free loan program

MESL Foundation is on its way of efforts to help the people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan who suffered the most drastic earth quake on 8th Oct 2005. We are establishing a 60 beds DHQ level sate of the art, equiped with most modern medical facilities hospital named MESL Foundation hospital, Jheeng Nelum Valley which is going to benefits about 1,56,000 people in the difficult tranches of Nelum Vally where there is only one hospital facility in Pattika.
